yikesss... so, about that email (and January...)

If this was a video, I'd use that audio — "yuppppp... that's me! You're probably wondering how I got here."

Now, you are probably thinking what the situation is. I didn't send this mail when I promised and I know exactly why. It is not that I did not remember (I made sure I did because I set reminders on my phone). Nope. This was pure, unadulterated procrastination. It was a classic case of "I'll do it tomorrow"... and then tomorrow never came.

Could I have handled this better? Absolutely.
Am I proud of how I handled it? Not even a little.
Will I do better going forward? You bet I will.

This could have been you in January — the month did not go so well and it seems like everyone else hit the ground running. It feels like the race already began before you even had a chance to participate and there is no need to even bother.

We're so used to seeing the glass half empty that we forget it can also be half full. Friend, it is not too late to begin 2025 now or even get another start and scrap January. Yes, I said it.
