Recently, I came across an experience that made me reflect on the importance of setting boundaries. While commuting on public transportation (BRT) last month, I encountered a situation that highlighted the need to be discerning about our connections.

A gentleman I'd seen frequently struck up a conversation, and through our chats, I learned he was married. We exchanged contact information, a seemingly harmless gesture at the time. However, things turned when he expressed intentions beyond being casual acquaintances.

This encounter, with a few other situations, served as a reminder to be mindful of our choices and prioritise relationships that align with our values. It resonated with a quote I came across recently: "If everything/everybody is important to you, then nothing/nobody is important."
