this past month almost broke me (but didn't)...

My worth is internal. Built-in. Pre-existing. It was there before the spiral. Before the doubt.

Hiiii

Happy New Month!!!!

I hope April was good for you.

This past month was rough. Not in a dramatic, Instagram-story way, but in a quiet, exhausting, "why is everything falling apart at once?" way.

Out of nowhere, my laptop gave up on me. Total curveball. It drained me, financially and emotionally. As if that was not enough, I had a conversation with a friend that shook me. You know those chats where someone holds up a mirror, and suddenly you are questioning… everything? Yeah, one of those. It triggered a spiral that led me to step away from social media, to breathe.

Spiritually, I felt myself slipping. My walk with God took a hit — not because He left, but because I convinced myself I was failing Him, that I was not measuring up, that I was somehow disappointing the One who already knows me inside out. It was a hard place to be in.

With God's grace and the support of kind friends, I have been finding my way back.

That whole experience led me to a simple, terrifying question:
Who am I?
When did I get so insecure?
When did I start believing I had nothing worth saying, nothing worth giving?

My mind was a fog of doubt. I started wondering: What right do I have to speak into anyone's life? Why should anyone listen to me? I felt as if I was crumbling under the weight of my thoughts.

But you know what has always shaped me? My faith. I ran back to it. Limped.
And in that running, I stumbled upon a verse, Acts 17:28, especially in The Passion Translation:

"It is through him that we live and function and have our identity; just as your poets have said, 'Our lineage comes from him.'"

That hit differently.

I realized that my worth was never in how put-together I seemed, how many things I checked off my goals list, or how confidently I could speak. My worth is internal. Built-in. Pre-existing. It was there before the spiral. Before the doubt.

I am loved. Chosen. Enough.
Not because I earned it but because He said so.

If I'm honest, I'm still a work in progress. The doubts do not just disappear but I'm better than I was. That counts for something.

If you are in a season where you are questioning yourself, please know this — you are not alone.

Friend, your worth is not on trial. You do not have to prove a single thing to belong. You already do.

Thanks for reading my heart today.
I love you. I'm rooting for you.
Till next time.
