November 2025
when opposites learn to dance...
“Wholeness isn't the absence of tension, but the grace to hold it without breaking.”
Dearest gentle reader,
How are you today?
Happy new month!!!
October was a whirlwind. I learned to feel two opposite things at once. It felt strange, almost wrong. This was not something I was used to. We've often been led to believe that one emotion excludes the other. Joy cannot sit beside sorrow. Grief cannot exist with moments of happiness.
I'm learning that two things can coexist. Good and evil both exist in the world. Each gives meaning to the other. Maybe that's why, on a perfectly good day, something small reminds you of someone. It feels like someone has ripped the bandage off a wound you thought had healed.
There's a kind of rebirth that happens when we stop resisting what hurts and start sitting with it. When we stop rushing to "get over" and instead ask, "What is this pain trying to teach me now?" Because every emotion, even the uncomfortable ones, carries revelation.
I've come to see that joy and sorrow are not enemies; they are partners in growth. One softens us for the other. One teaches us gratitude; the other, grace.
So friend, if you're holding both light and shadow right now — joy and ache, hope and exhaustion — maybe that's okay. Maybe that's where wholeness begins.
Here's to November:
To learning the language of coexistence,
To becoming steady in the in-between,
To trusting that rebirth doesn't always come with fireworks, sometimes, it arrives quietly, in the tension between two truths.
With all my love,
Dolapo Tej.
